The EF1459 is a horizontal band saw mounted on a vertical frame, designed for a variety of cuts across metals, plastics, and woods. It features a capacity of 14-1/2" under the guides and a 9" cut, with an inclined track for blade and vertical column travel that ensures a straight feed path. The gravity feed system allows the blade to operate at its most efficient feed rate, and a counterweight control feature enables adjustment for optimal cutting pressure, maximizing blade life while keeping the workpiece stationary and maintaining safety. The saw is also equipped with a hydraulic safety feed regulator and an adjustable saw blade guard, allowing for pre-set depth control. Constructed for durability, it includes a precision-ground 18-1/2" x 30" cast iron table, hardened grooved roller guides accommodating blade widths from 1/4" to 3/4" without adjustment, and rubber-tired blade wheels to prevent slippage. The included accessories are an angle plate swivel work block, large C-clamp, blade/speed selector chart, blade, a one horsepower motor, and a switch.
