The EF1459 is a horizontal band saw on a vertical frame designed for versatile use with metals, plastics, and woods, offering efficient and accurate cut-off capabilities suitable for notching, slitting, and slotting. It features a capacity of 14-1/2" under the guides and a 9" cut, with a blade that travels on an inclined track for optimal feeding through the material. The band saw incorporates counterweight control for adjustable cutting pressure, ensuring longer blade life while maintaining user safety as the workpiece remains stationary. It is equipped with a hydraulic safety feed regulator and an adjustable saw blade guard, along with a pre-set adjustable stop for controlling blade depth. Constructed with a robust 18-1/2" x 30" precision-ground cast iron table and hardened grooved roller guides accommodating blades from 1/4" to 3/4" wide, the EF1459 minimizes blade slippage with rubber-tired blade wheels. The package includes an angle plate swivel work block, large C-clamp, blade/speed selector chart, blades, and a one horsepower motor with an operational switch.
