This domed desiccator offers a spacious interior designed for large, moisture-sensitive materials, featuring a tapered stopcock that accommodates 1/4" to 3/8" I.D. tubing and an easy-turning PTFE valve, which facilitates gentle air entry with minimal disturbance to the chamber's contents. It is ideal for degassing liquids, porous solids, or silicon molds to eliminate air bubbles, boasting an internal volume of 65 liters (4000 cu. in.) capable of holding items up to 45 cm (18") tall or wide, including racks, trays, and instruments. The desiccator maintains a full vacuum of 29" Hg at room temperature for 24 hours. Constructed from laboratory-grade polycarbonate, it provides a clear view of the contents while being resistant to most common chemicals and thermal stress. The side handles enhance portability and can accommodate locks or tamper-evident seals. Additionally, gas ports can be sealed for use with standard desiccant cartridges, F420450250, F420450200, and F420480100, and the unit comes with two removable polypropylene shelves measuring 36.5 cm (14.5") and 22.5 cm (9").
