The Secador® line of desiccator cabinets features an attractive design and sturdy construction, ensuring reliable storage of moisture and UV sensitive products. The cabinets are available in various sizes, styles, and colors, providing options to meet specific dry storage requirements. Constructed from Durastar® co-polyester, these cabinets block 99% of UV light and are resistant to staining, crazing, and chemical attack. The rear-mounted gas ports are tapered to accept tubing with a 2" I.D., and the amber color models effectively reduce visible light penetration by over 50%, making them ideal for storing light-sensitive materials such as reagents, analytical standards, and investigational compounds. The cabinets are equipped with large doors for maximum access to interior space, featuring a patented seal design, tab latches, and security loops for padlocks or tamper-evident seals. Perforated shelves allow for air circulation, and there is space for desiccant beneath the bottom shelf. A digital hygrometer, easy to view, is located on the front of the door, while the side-swinging door opens to the left. With a compact footprint of 34.1W x 41.4cm, the cabinet is designed for space-saving and can be stacked up to 3 units high. Replacement shelves are available, and models with a capacity of 4.0 units can be converted from vertical to horizontal configuration or vice versa by rotating the unit and ordering the appropriate number of shelves. The gas ports can be closed to accommodate standard desiccant cartridges, specifically models F420450250, F420450200, and F420480100.
