3M™ Hookit™ Gold Film Disc 255L features aluminum oxide abrasive grain on a film backing, designed for a fast cut-rate and uniform, close-tolerance finish on wood, paint prep, and defect repair applications. Its flexible film backing ensures a consistent finish with greater tear-resistance compared to paper products, making it suitable for high-production environments. Constructed of durable aluminum oxide, the disc effectively works on most wood species. The open coat design offers a more aggressive cut than similar closed coat abrasives of the same grade, while a special loading resistant coating enhances its performance when loading is an issue. This product is ideal for AOEM finish prep/repair, finishing, orbital sanding, and paint/lacquer sanding in cabinetry, custom woodworking and millwork, furniture, metal fabrication, and primary wood and panel processing industries.
