These discs excel in stock removal applications and are effective on a variety of substrates, including metals, composites, gelcoat, and whitewood. The film backing provides enhanced tear resistance compared to paper discs, ensuring durability and edge retention. For optimal performance, it is recommended to pair these discs with 3M™ Elite Random Orbital Sanders. The product line includes hook-and-loop style 3M™ Hookit™ discs, which are particularly beneficial in environments where adhesive backed discs are prone to contamination from dust or dirt.
