3M™ Wetordry™ paper sheet 431Q measures 9" x 11" and features 80 grit silicon carbide abrasive on a strong C-weight, waterproof paper backing designed for superior finishing in both wet and dry applications on various substrates including paint, primer, gel coat, metal, and wood. The silicon carbide mineral used is exceptionally hard, with sharp points that fracture easily to expose fresh edges for extra-fast cutting and a smooth professional finish, making it ideal for low-pressure applications such as paint preparation and finishing on wood and metal. The sheets can be used dry or with water, allowing rinsing during use to prevent dust and debris from clogging the abrasive points while reducing airborne dust and improving cut speed. These versatile sheets are particularly effective on surfaces that generate a lot of dust, such as paint and primer, and are widely used in marine applications for sanding old finishes, fine feather edging, and surface work.
