3M™ Portable Utility Cloth Roll 314D is designed for light-weight cloth sanding strips utilized in various applications, providing an effective solution for hand sanding. Constructed with aluminum oxide abrasive, this utility roll is available in a range of grades, ideal for tasks such as deburring, blending, repairing metal finishes, rust removal, and surface preparation for paints and coatings. Users can tear the strip to the desired length directly from the roll for specific applications. Most grades feature a light, J-weight cloth backing that offers the flexibility necessary to conform to circular edges, angles, and other contours, while grades P50 and P60 come with a stiffer X-weight backing for more coarse sanding applications.
