Smoking shelters are designed to control designated smoking areas while providing cover for smoking workers and personnel, ensuring compliance with smoking demands and protection from second-hand smoke claims. Constructed with aluminum framing and clear, break-resistant acrylic side panels, these shelters feature a black powder coat finish for the framing and stainless steel feet to resist corrosion and rust. The UV-protected fiberglass roof offers 6'6" of headroom, with an open front panel on the right side for easy access. The overall height is 98", and back-to-wall shelters come with three walls for installation against an existing building exterior. The modular design allows for simplified construction in approximately 4-6 hours by two people. The frame is made from hard-wearing, rust-proof aluminum in a lightweight 1-1/2" square tube format, and the structure features acid-etched and polyester epoxy powder coating for enhanced durability. The robust 1/4" thick cast acrylic full-height glazing has a UV coating with a 10-year color-fast guarantee, while the roof is constructed from glass fiber reinforced polyester resin, providing strength during snow and shade in sunlight. The shelters include an integral gutter along the length and require a solid base for stability. Available in seven sizes, they are delivered flat-packed on a pallet with complete assembly instructions. Note that due to Florida building code, the wind-load requirements in Florida range from 130 mph to 180 mph, and some shelters cannot be sold there. All shelters sold to Florida will necessitate engineering services at an additional cost, including a site-specific engineered drawing.
