The Scotch-Brite™ Heavy Duty Hand Pad 7440 is designed to effectively remove stubborn contaminants and coatings while leaving a uniform finish, making it ideal for demanding surface restoration tasks. This ultra-strong tan pad excels at cutting through contaminants and oxides quickly, as well as breaking down adhesive coatings with ease. It effectively removes rust and grime, preparing the surface for a quality primer or paint job. Constructed with ultra-durable fibers, the pad can withstand aggressive use on tough surfaces without tearing or shredding. The performance of the 7440 pad is comparable to steel wool grade 4 but without the issues of rust and splinters, and it can be used immediately by hand, with a hand pad block, or on an in-line sander for more efficient work on larger areas. The innovative design of Scotch-Brite™ incorporates abrasives within non-woven nylon fibers, resulting in a surface conditioning product that maintains consistent performance throughout its lifespan. The open web material is load resistant, helping to keep the abrasive minerals cutting effectively by minimizing clogging of the nylon fibers.
