The Steel King® SK2000® pallet rack add-on unit measures 108"W x 42"D x 96"H and has a load capacity of 5480 lbs. This unit features high-strength tubular steel framing with built-in braces for enhanced strength, and both the uprights and beams are finished with a durable powder coat. It employs a tear-drop connection that is compatible with most existing industrial storage rack systems, featuring a closed tube upright design that provides 250% more frontal impact strength and 68% greater side impact resistance compared to open back columns, thus improving product safety. The three-rivet connection improves strength over typical two-rivet designs found on other pallet racks. The base plates are constructed from 10 gauge welded steel, allowing for secure floor anchoring. The pallet rack beams are made from high-strength steel with a minimum yield strength of 55,000 P.S.I., designed to be continuously welded to prevent moisture and debris accumulation. The 1-5/8"H step beams can accept optional decking (not included) and are designed with beam ends featuring a three-rivet lock mechanism with a safety lock for secure installation on the uprights.
