Steel King® SK2000® Series boltless pallet rack uprights are constructed from high-strength tubular steel framing, featuring built-in braces for enhanced durability. The uprights and beams are finished with a powder coat to ensure long-lasting protection. The tear-drop connection is designed to be interchangeable with the majority of industrial storage rack systems currently in use. With a closed tube upright design, it offers 250% more frontal impact strength and 68% greater side impact resistance compared to open back columns, thus significantly improving product safety and reducing the risk of bending or twisting. The welds between the braces and columns are full fillet welds, providing superior strength over the spot welds found in many other systems. Heavy 10-gauge footpads are welded directly to the uprights to efficiently disperse the column load better than conventional lighter footpads. The SK2000® Series pallet rack beams are made from high-strength steel with a minimum yield of 55,000 P.S.I. and are constructed from continuously welded structural tubing, ensuring both durability and ease of maintenance by not trapping moisture or debris. The 1-5/8" H step beams accept optional decking (not included), and the beam ends feature a 3-rivet lock design with a safety lock for secure attachment to the uprights. Capacities are based on 36" W beam shelf spacing.
