The Steel King® SK2000® pallet rack starter unit measures 96"W x 36"D x 96"H and is designed for durability and safety in industrial storage solutions. The SK2000® series features boltless pallet rack uprights made from high-strength tubular steel framing, complemented by built-in braces that enhance strength. These uprights and beams are finished with a powder coat, while the tear-drop connection allows for compatibility with most industrial storage rack systems. The closed tube upright design offers 250% more frontal impact strength and 68% greater side impact resistance compared to open back columns, significantly improving product safety and reducing the likelihood of bending or twisting. Full fillet welds at the braces and column junction provide superior strength compared to typical spot welds found in other systems. Heavy 10-gauge footpads are welded to the uprights for more efficient load distribution. The SK2000® series beams, made from high-strength steel (55,000 P.S.I. minimum), feature continuously welded structural tubing that prevents moisture and debris accumulation. The 1-5/8"H step beams allow for the addition of optional decking (not included), and beam ends are equipped with a 3-rivet lock design and safety lock for a secure connection to the uprights. Steel King manufactures its racks using only US steel, ensuring high quality standards and increased overall strength and rigidity.
