The DC gearmotor features a right-angle shaft with a 1/4 HP power rating, operating at 62 RPM and a gear ratio of 40 to 1. It has an overhung load capacity of 235 pounds and provides a full load torque of 135 lb. in. The gearmotor is built with a totally-enclosed non-ventilated (TENV) enclosure, a 34 frame size, and operates at 90V with a nameplate current of 2.3 amps. The worm-type right-angle gearing consists of a hardened steel worm paired with a bronze worm wheel, promoting long life and quiet operation. It is constructed with precision machined aluminum housings and features all ball bearings in the gearbox. The housing is sealed with permanent lubrication through an oil bath. The output shaft can be field interchangeable from left hand to right hand style upon reassembly, and it is designed for horizontal mounting with a lubrication breather positioned appropriately; reorientation with a 90-degree 1/8" NPT taper pipe elbow is required for other mounting configurations. Care should be taken to ensure the motor portion is never mounted below the gearhead. The overhung load capacities are specified at the center of the output shaft, and a conduit box is not supplied with the motor. The gearmotor is compatible with Baldor GP7405, Bodine 4138, and Grainger/Dayton 1L498, with specific considerations regarding mounting holes and shaft dimensions noted for compatibility.
