The DC gearmotor features a right-angle shaft with a power rating of 1/4 hp and operates at a speed of 250 rpm, coupled with a gear ratio of 10 to 1. It supports an overhung load of 235 pounds and provides a full load torque of 50 lb. in. The gearmotor has a totally-enclosed non-ventilated (TENV) enclosure and comes with a 34 frame design, operating at 90 V with a nameplate current of 2.3 amps. The worm-type right-angle gearing includes a hardened steel worm paired with a bronze worm wheel to ensure long life and quiet operation. Precision machined aluminum housings are utilized, with a gearbox that incorporates all ball bearings. The housing is sealed for permanent lubrication via an oil bath. The output shaft is field interchangeable from left hand to right hand style through reassembly. To enhance seal life, the lubrication breather is strategically positioned for horizontal mounting, and for other configurations, the breather plug requires repositioning with a 90 degree 1/8" NPT taper pipe elbow (not included). It is important to note that the motor portion should never be mounted below the gearhead, and the stated overhung load capacities are applicable at the center of the output shaft. The conduit box is not supplied with the motor.
