The DC gearmotor features a right-angle shaft with a power rating of 1/4 HP, operating at 500 RPM and a gear ratio of 5 to 1. It supports an overhung load of 235 pounds and provides a full load torque of 30 lb. in. The motor is designed with a totally-enclosed non-ventilated (TENV) enclosure, has a 34 frame size, and operates at 90V with nameplate amps of 2.3. The worm-type right-angle gearing incorporates a hardened steel worm paired with a bronze worm wheel, ensuring long life and quiet operation. It includes precision machined aluminum housings and a gearbox featuring all ball bearings. The housing is sealed, providing permanent lubrication through an oil bath. The output shaft is field interchangeable from left hand to right hand style upon reassembly. For optimal seal life, the lubrication breather is positioned for horizontal mounting, but may need to be reoriented using a 90-degree 1/8" NPT taper pipe elbow for other mountings (not included). It is important to note that the motor portion of the gearmotor should never be mounted below the gearhead, and overhung load capacities are indicated at the center of the output shaft. The motor does not include a conduit box.
