The DC gearmotor features a right-angle shaft with a power rating of 1/4 HP and operates at a speed of 62 RPM, equipped with a gear ratio of 40 to 1. It can support an overhung load of 235 pounds and provides a full load torque of 135 lb. in. The motor has a totally-enclosed non-ventilated (TENV) enclosure and is housed in a 34 frame with an operating voltage of 180V and name plate amps of 1.3. The worm-type right-angle gearing incorporates a hardened steel worm paired with a bronze worm wheel, ensuring durability and quiet performance. The precision machined aluminum housings enhance the motor's robustness, and the gearbox contains all ball bearings. The sealed housing allows for permanent lubrication via an oil bath. The output shaft is interchangeable from left to right hand style through reassembly. These gearmotors are designed with a lubrication breather positioned for horizontal mounting to optimize seal life, while other mountings require reorientation of the breather plug via a 90 degree 1/8" NPT taper pipe elbow, which is not included. It is important to note that the motor portion should never be mounted below the gearhead, and the overhung load capacities are specified at the center of the output shaft. Additionally, a conduit box is not supplied with the motor.
