The DC gearmotor features a right-angle shaft and is rated at 1/8 HP with a speed of 42 RPM, and a gear ratio of 60 to 1. It has an overhung load capacity of 235 pounds and a full load torque of 80 lb. in. The motor is designed with a totally-enclosed non-ventilated (TENV) enclosure and is classified under a 34 frame size, operating at 90V with a nameplate current of 1.4 amps. The worm-type right-angle gearing incorporates a hardened steel worm and a bronze worm wheel, ensuring long life and quiet operation. Its precision machined aluminum housing, along with an all-ball bearing gearbox, enhances durability. The housing is sealed with permanent lubrication provided by an oil bath. The output shaft can be easily converted from left-hand to right-hand style by reassembly. These gearmotors are designed for optimum seal life with a lubrication breather positioned for horizontal mounting, although this breather plug may require reorientation with a 90-degree 1/8" NPT taper pipe elbow (not included) for other mountings. Importantly, the motor should never be mounted below the gearhead, and the overhung load capacities are indicated at the center of the output shaft. Notably, the conduit box is not included with the motor. In terms of compatibility, it can be paired with Baldor: GP7403 (with a note that Leeson base mounting holes are not 'drop-in' replacements), Grainger/Dayton: 6A192 (with specific dimensions for Leeson’s shaft), and Minarik: 507-02-125.
