The Transit is a classic, anodized aluminum bike shelter that is enclosed on three sides, providing protection for bikes in all weather conditions. With thousands installed nationwide, it has become widely accepted by businesses, universities, transit companies, and government agencies. The kit includes options for modular rustproof barrel, flat or hip roof designs, and is available in a variety of powder-coated colors upon request. Site-specific engineered drawings and calculations for building code compliance are available at an additional cost, particularly noting that in Florida, where the wind-load requirements range from 130 mph to 180 mph, certain shelters cannot be sold without engineering services, which are also offered at an additional cost. Bike racks are sold separately.
