The UF-B underground feeder cable, 14/2 AWG, 250 ft, is a versatile solution designed for applications such as powering outside post lamps, pumps, and other equipment from a distribution point within an existing building, adhering to the 2008 National Electrical Code. This cable is suitable for underground use, including direct burial, and can also be utilized for interior branch circuit wiring in residential or agricultural buildings, with conductor temperatures not exceeding 90°C (ampacity limited to that of 60°C conductors) as outlined in the National Electrical Code. The UF-B cable has a voltage rating of 600 volts and meets or exceeds UL Standard 83, UL Standard 493, Federal Specification A-A-59544, as well as the National Electrical Code requirements. Constructed as a 2 conductor cable with a ground wire, it features annealed (soft) copper conductors that can be solid or compressed stranded. The phase conductors are insulated with polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and jacketed with a nylon layer, color-coded for identification. The outer jacket is made of gray PVC that is resistant to sunlight, moisture, and fungus.
