Southwire 22974083 THHN 10 gauge building wire is a stranded type conductor in white, with a length of 50 ft. This wire is designed for use in conduit and cable trays for services, feeders, and branch circuits in commercial or industrial applications, adhering to the 2008 National Electrical Code. It is suitable for dry locations at temperatures not exceeding 90 °C when used as type THHN or T90 nylon. For wet or dry locations, it meets the standards of type THWN-2 or TWN75, with temperature limits of 90 °C or 75 °C when exposed to oil. In applications as type MTW, it can be used in wet locations at temperatures not exceeding 60 °C or in dry locations at temperatures up to 90 °C, with ampacity limited for 75 °C conductors per NFPA 79. Rated for a voltage of 600 volts, this cable does not require pulling lubricant for installation. Technical specifications confirm that the Southwire Simpull THHN® or THWN-2 or MTW meets or exceeds relevant ASTM standards, UL Standards 83, 1581, and 1063, CSA, CUL, NOM-ANCE specifications for 90 °C, and Federal Specification A-A-59544, with additional parameters such as VW-1 for sizes 14 through 1 AWG CT, UL 1685 for sizes 1/0 AWG and larger, and FT1 for sizes through 500 kcmil.
