TFFN 16 gauge building wire, stranded type, red, is designed for various applications including fixture wire, machine tool wiring, or appliance wiring material, as outlined in the 2008 National Electrical Code. When utilized as type TFFN, the conductor is rated for a maximum temperature of 90°C, while type MTW can be employed in wet locations or exposed to oil or coolant at a maximum of 60°C and in dry locations at 90°C, with ampacity limited to that of a 75°C conductor per NFPA 79. The conductor temperature for AWM rated applications is not to exceed 105°C in dry locations. This wire operates at a voltage of 600 volts and adheres to specifications that meet or surpass UL standard 66 and National Electrical Code requirements. It is RoHS compliant and constructed with annealed (soft) copper conductors insulated with a durable, heat and moisture-resistant polyvinyl chloride (PVC), topped with a nylon (polyamide) jacket. The wire is available in multiple colors including black, white, red, blue, green, yellow, orange, brown, purple, gray, and pink, with some colors available based on economic order quantity. Additionally, it is oil and gasoline resistant as defined by Underwriters Laboratories.
