Southwire Type SOOW flexible cords are engineered for heavy-duty usage in various applications, including industrial equipment, battery chargers, portable lights, welding leads, marine dockside power, power extensions, and mining operations. These cords meet OSHA standards and are MSHA listed, passing the MSHA flame test (P-136-29). They are resistant to sunlight, oil, acid, water, and weather. The construction features bare flexible rope-stranded annealed copper conductors with heat, moisture, and oil-resistant EPDM rubber insulation according to UL-62. Insulated conductors are cabled with paper fillers, and a tissue-paper separator ensures easy jacket removal. Additionally, a heat, moisture, and oil-resistant flexible CPE jacket is extruded over the assembly, providing enhanced durability.
