The polyethylene plastic table-top Buchner funnel is designed for efficient filtration of large volumes, featuring your choice of Fritware® or perforated filter plates. It includes a removable hose barbed connector that accepts 12.7 mm (1/2") I.D. tube, threading into a 3/4" NPT bung on the funnel. The funnel is equipped with either fixed or removable Fritware® porous filter plates that are supported by a multiple ring grid; these plates are made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and have a thickness of 6.4 mm (1/4"). The non-porous ring at the periphery of the plate ensures that filter paper is sealed when in use. Fritware® filter plates come in two porosities: medium (45-90 microns) and coarse (90-130 microns), with a use temperature range of maximum 52°C (125°F) and minimum -20°C (-4°F). In addition, the fixed or removable perforated filter plates are made of 4.8 mm (3/16") thick HDPE with 4.8 mm (3/16") perforations on 11 mm (7/16") centers. The perforated filter plates are available in fixed versions for coarse filtration or use with cloth/paper filters, and removable versions suitable for precious metals recovery, maintaining the same temperature range as the Fritware® plates. The F36820-0118 funnel trowel is also included for smoothing fissures during the filtration process. Note that truck shipping is required for 36" funnels.
