Secador® Auto-Desiccator cabinets provide an automated solution for protecting humidity-sensitive items, such as reagents or electronics. The patented electronic desiccant regeneration module recharges the desiccant every 20 minutes, ensuring a consistently low relative humidity (%RH) level from start-up, even with frequent access. Constructed from Durastar® Co-Polyester, these cabinets block 99% of UV light while resisting staining, crazing, and chemical attack. The amber color models significantly reduce visible light penetration, making them ideal for storing light-sensitive materials. The automatic dehumidification and desiccant regeneration cycle operates continuously every 20 minutes, with a color-indicating silica gel providing quick visual confirmation of desiccant status. The cabinet features a large door with an easy-to-view digital hygrometer for maximal interior access, a patented seal design, tab latches, and security loops for padlocks or tamper-evident seals, and it opens from right to left. Perforated shelves enhance dry air circulation, and the compact dimensions of 34.1W x 41.4CM (13.4" x 16.3") allow for space-saving stacking of up to two units high. A variety of sizes, styles, and colors are available in 100, 120, or 230V models (CE marked) for global use. The 230V units are equipped with a power cord/transformer featuring Q-NA, Q-SAA, Q-UK, and Q-EU input connectors compatible with North American, Australian, UK, and European configurations. Additional features include replacement shelves for customization and a versatile design that allows for conversion from vertical to horizontal configurations, along with replacement desiccant beads (F42074-0020) available.
