The Secador® line of desiccator cabinets features an attractive design and sturdy construction that ensures easy and reliable storage of moisture and UV-sensitive products. The kit includes options for various sizes, styles, and colors to meet specific dry storage needs. Constructed from Durastar® co-polyester, the cabinets block 99% of UV light and are resistant to staining, crazing, and chemical attack. They come with rear-mounted gas ports that are tapered to accept tubing with a 0.25" I.D. Amber color models are designed to reduce visible light penetration by over 50%, making them suitable for storing light-sensitive materials such as reagents, analytical standards, and investigational compounds. The large doors enhance access to the interior space and feature a patented seal design, tab latches, and security loops for padlocks or tamper-evident seals. Perforated shelves allow for the circulation of dry air and provide space for desiccant beneath the bottom shelf. The cabinets are equipped with an easy-to-view digital hygrometer located on the door front, and the side-swinging door opens to the left. With a compact footprint measuring 34.1W x 41.4 cm, these units are space-saving and can be stacked up to three units high. Replacement shelves are available, and the cabinets can be converted from a vertical to horizontal configuration or vice versa by turning the unit and ordering the appropriate number of shelves. The gas ports can also be closed for use with standard desiccant cartridges, F420450250, F420450200, and F420480100. The cabinets have certifications and compliance with industry standards, ensuring reliability and safety in storage applications.
