The Secador® line of desiccator cabinets features an attractive design and sturdy construction, ensuring easy and reliable storage of moisture and UV sensitive products. The cabinets are available in a variety of sizes, styles, and colors to fulfill diverse dry storage requirements. U.S. patents include 6,834,920; 7,318,630; and D474,626. Made from Durastar® co-polyester, these cabinets block 99% of UV light and resist staining, crazing, and chemical attacks. The rear-mounted gas ports are tapered to accept tubing with a 0.25" I.D., and amber color models reduce visible light penetration by over 50%, making them ideal for storing light-sensitive materials such as reagents, analytical standards, and investigational compounds. The large doors enhance access to the interior space and are equipped with a patented seal design, tab latches, and security loops for padlocks or tamper-evident seals. Perforated shelves help circulate dry air and provide space for desiccant beneath the bottom shelf. A digital hygrometer, easily visible from the door front, monitors humidity, while the side-swinging door opens to the left. With compact dimensions of 34.1W x 41.4 cm, these cabinets are space-saving and can be stacked up to 3 units high. Replacement shelves are available, and the 4.0 unit can be converted from vertical to horizontal configuration or vice versa by rotating the unit and ordering the necessary shelves. The gas ports can be sealed for use with standard desiccant cartridges, including models F420450250, F420450200, and F420480100.
