The color-indicating silica gel beads are designed for refilling the Secador® Auto-Desiccator module, which allows for automatic regeneration across thousands of cycles. These silica gel beads effectively absorb moisture from the air and are characterized by their inert, non-toxic, and non-corrosive properties. Unlike other desiccants, they are non-friable, meaning they do not disintegrate into powder even after multiple regeneration processes. Each bead features a color-changing moisture indicator that shifts from blue to light pink, signaling that the silica gel is saturated and unable to absorb further moisture. When the beads turn pink or dark brown and fail to regain their blue color, it indicates that replacement with a fresh supply is necessary.
