These 2ml tubes are prefilled with an appropriate amount of 0.1mm diameter silica (glass) beads designed for bead homogenization. The tubes are ready to use, as the beads are acid washed and heat treated to eliminate contaminants, ensuring they are nuclease and protease free. They are suitable for the homogenization of both gram positive and gram negative bacteria and are supplied in packs of 50 tubes. The tubes are compatible with most bead homogenizers, including the BeadBug 3, BeadBug 6, and BeadBlaster 24.
