The prefilled 2ml tubes contain an appropriate amount of 0.1mm diameter zirconium (ceramic) beads specifically designed for bead homogenization. These tubes are ready to use, as the beads are acid washed and heat treated, certified to be nuclease and protease free. The filling process has been rigorously tested by QPCR to ensure that the tubes are free of stray DNA. They are suitable for the homogenization of both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria and are supplied in packs of 50 tubes. Additionally, these tubes are compatible with most bead homogenizers, including the BeadBug 3, BeadBug 6, and BeadBlaster 24.
