These 2ml tubes are prefilled with an appropriate amount of 0.5mm diameter silica (glass) beads specifically designed for bead homogenization. The tubes come ready to use, as the beads are acid washed and heat treated to eliminate contaminants, making them nuclease and protease free. They are suitable for the homogenization of bacteria, fungi, spores, molds, and small yeasts. The product is supplied in packs of 50 tubes and is compatible with most bead homogenizers, including the BeadBug 3, BeadBug 6, and BeadBlaster 24.
