These 2mL tubes are prefilled with an appropriate amount of 1.0mm diameter silica (glass) beads specifically designed for bead homogenization. The tubes come ready to use, as the beads are acid washed and heat treated to remove contaminants, ensuring they are nuclease and protease free. They are suitable for the homogenization of fungi, spores, algae, and larger yeasts. Each pack contains 50 tubes, which are compatible with most bead homogenizers, including the BeadBug 3, BeadBug 6, and BeadBlaster 24.
