The prefilled 2ml tubes contain an appropriate amount of 0.5mm diameter zirconium (ceramic) beads specifically designed for bead homogenization. These tubes are ready to use, as the beads are acid washed, heat treated, and certified to be nuclease and protease free. The filling process has been tested by qPCR to ensure they are free of stray DNA. These tubes are suitable for the homogenization of bacteria, fungi, spores, molds, and small yeasts. They are supplied in packs of 50 tubes and are compatible with most bead homogenizers, including the BeadBug 3, BeadBug 6, and BeadBlaster 24.
