Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. These assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, verify the full load amperage (FLA) from the motor or equipment nameplate at the input voltage, ensuring to confirm if it utilizes single-phase or three-phase power. The starter must be rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA. Additionally, choose the control power used to close the contactor and select an overload that encompasses the FLA from the previous step. Options for selection include incoming power type—either "direct-online starter" if line power is used as control power, or "separate control voltage" for different voltage types. For starters activated by an external switch, remote start terminals can be added, which assume the line and control voltage are the same. The motor starter features include 9A, three-phase, remote start terminals, start/stop functionality, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, a 5.7-7.6A overload relay, and a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
