Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters suitable for applications up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, it is essential to refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the supplied input voltage and confirm whether the configuration is 1-phase or 3-phase power. The starter must be rated for current (amps) exceeding the motor's FLA, and the control power used to close the contactor should be identified. The overload relay should be selected to cover the FLA range identified earlier. Additional selection criteria include distinguishing whether the incoming power will serve as the control power, which can be categorized as a "direct-online starter," or if separate control voltage is needed. For starters activated by external switches, terminals can be added for control power input, referred to as "remote start terminals." The features include a 26A 3-phase separate coil voltage with remote start terminals for start/stop operation, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, a 16-20A overload relay, and a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
