Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters with capacities up to 60HP or 80A. Each assembled motor starter includes a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, verify the full load amperage (FLA) from the motor nameplate and ensure the correct phase of power (1-phase or 3-phase) is identified. The starter chosen should be rated for current higher than the FLA. Options for control power must be determined, with choices including direct-online starters, separate control voltage, and configurations for remote start terminals to accommodate external switch activation.
