Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter for your requirements, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage you will supply, confirming whether it is single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor, select the control power used to close the contactor, and choose the overload by selecting a current range that contains the FLA of the motor. The incoming power can be classified as a "direct-online starter" if the line power is also used as the control power, or as "separate control voltage" if the control voltage differs from the line voltage. If the starter needs to be activated from an external switch, it can include terminals for accepting the control power from that switch, referred to as "remote start terminals." If remote start terminals are desired and different voltages are being used for line and control power, it is categorized as "separate control voltage + remote start terminals." The kit features a 9A 3 phase direct online start/stop with a 100-250V AC/DC coil and a 2.3-3.1A overload.
