Product Details
Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter for your requirements, first refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage you will supply, ensuring to confirm whether it is 1 phase or 3 phase power to the motor, and choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor. Next, select the control power used to close the contactor, followed by the overload by selecting a current range that contains the FLA of the motor. You can further narrow down your options by considering incoming power: if the line power will also be used as the control power, this is a "direct-online starter"; if the control voltage differs from the line voltage, this is labeled as "separate control voltage"; and if the starter needs activation from an external switch, terminals are added for remote start, assumed to match line and control voltage. If utilizing remote start terminals with differing voltages for line and control power, this is categorized as "separate control voltage + remote start terminals." Key features include a 9A 3 phase separate coil voltage start/stop, 100-250V AC/DC coil, and a 7.6-10A overload relay, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
