Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters with ratings up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters include a contactor, an overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter for your application, first, verify the full load amperage (FLA) from the motor or equipment nameplate at the input voltage to be supplied, ensuring to confirm if it is 1-phase or 3-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor. Next, select the control power used to actuate the contactor and the overload by picking a current range that includes the motor's FLA. For the starter selection, consider the incoming power; if line power is also used as control power, this forms a "direct-online starter." If the control voltage differs from the line voltage, a "separate control voltage" is applicable. For activation via an external switch, remote start terminals can be added, assuming line and control voltages are the same. If using different voltages for line and control power, this configuration is "separate control voltage + remote start terminals." The kit features a 9A 3 phase separate coil voltage with remote start terminals and a start/stop function, accommodating a 100-250V AC/DC coil and 4.2-5.7A overload, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
