Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter for your requirements, first refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage you will supply, confirming whether it is 1-phase or 3-phase power to the motor. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor. Next, choose the control power used to close the contactor and select the overload by choosing a current range that contains the FLA of the motor. Optional criteria include incoming power, where line power can be used as control power for a "direct-online starter" or as "separate control voltage" if different; remote start terminals can be added for activation from an external switch, assuming line and control voltages are the same. Features include a 9A 3-phase direct online start/stop, 250-500V AC/DC coil, and a 7.6-10A overload relay, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
