Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60 HP or 80 A. These assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage. Determine if the motor operates on 1-phase or 3-phase power and choose a starter rated for current higher than the FLA. The control power used to close the contactor must also be selected, along with the overload, which should encompass the FLA. Optional criteria for selection include incoming power type, with options for direct-online starters, separate control voltage, and remote start terminals, allowing for configuration based on voltage setups. The key features include a 9 A rating, 3 phase compatibility, separate coil voltage, start/stop functionality, a 100-250 V AC/DC coil, and a 1.7-2.3 A overload relay. The starter design adheres to NEMA 4X standards.
