Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter for your requirements, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage you will supply, and confirm whether it is single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor, select the control power used to close the contactor, and choose the overload by selecting a current range that contains the FLA of the motor. The starter options also include considerations for incoming power: "direct-online starter" if line power is used as control power, "separate control voltage" if the control voltage differs from the line voltage, and configurations for "remote start terminals" if activation from an external switch is needed. The features of the starters include 9A 3-phase remote start terminals, a reset button, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, and an overload relay rated for 1.7-2.3A, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
