Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A, which consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter, verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage from the motor or equipment nameplate, confirming whether the power is single-phase or three-phase, and ensure the selected starter is rated for a current (amps) higher than the FLA. Choose the control power for closing the contactor and select the overload based on a current range containing the motor's FLA. The optional criteria for selection include the choice between direct-online starter or separate control voltage, as well as the addition of remote start terminals if external activation is required. Key features include 9A 3 phase remote start terminals, a reset button, a coil rated for 250-500V AC/DC, and an overload rating of 3.1-4.2A, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
