Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters suitable for motors up to 60HP or 80A. These assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, verify the full load amperage (FLA) from the motor nameplate at the input voltage, ensuring to confirm if it is single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter with a current rating higher than the FLA, select the control power for activating the contactor, and pick an overload that accommodates the FLA. The options available include direct-on-line starters using line power for control, separate control voltage configurations, and configurations with remote start terminals for external switch activation. Features of the motor starter include a 9A 3-phase separate control voltage reset button, a 24-60V AC/DC coil, and an overload range of 5.7-7.6A, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
