Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter, refer to the motor nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage, ensuring to confirm whether it is 1-phase or 3-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current higher than the FLA of the motor, select the control power for the contactor, and select the overload by choosing a current range that encompasses the motor's FLA. Optional criteria for selecting starters include incoming power type, with options for direct-online starters or separate control voltage. For external activation, remote start terminals can be added; if using different voltages for line and control power, the option becomes separate control voltage plus remote start terminals. Key features include 9A 3 phase remote start terminals, a reset button, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, and an overload rating of 2.3-3.1A, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
