Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter, verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage from the motor or equipment nameplate, ensuring to confirm whether it is 1-phase or 3-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current higher than the FLA. Select the control power used to close the contactor and choose the overload by selecting a current range that includes the FLA. Options include a 9A rating, 3-phase operation, remote start terminals, a reset button only, a 250-500V AC/DC coil, and an overload range of 5.7-7.6A. The system is designed to accommodate various configurations such as direct-online starters, separate control voltage, and remote start terminals based on the control power input requirements. The enclosure is constructed to meet NEMA 4X standards for durability.
