Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters designed for applications up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, verify the full load amperage (FLA) of the motor or equipment from the nameplate, ensuring to note if it operates on 1-phase or 3-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current higher than the FLA. Additionally, select the control power for closing the contactor and choose the overload by selecting a current range that encompasses the motor's FLA. The selection criteria also include options for incoming power configurations: "direct-online starter" if the line power also serves as control power, "separate control voltage" if the control voltage differs from the line voltage, and "remote start terminals" if activation from an external switch is needed. The features include a 9A 3-phase separate coil voltage, a reset button, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, a 1.7-2.3A overload, and a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
