Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter for your requirements, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage you will supply, confirming whether it is 1-phase or 3-phase power to the motor. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor, select the control power used to close the contactor, and choose the overload by selecting a current range that contains the FLA of the motor. The options for incoming power include "direct-on-line starter" if the line power will be used as the control power as well, or "separate control voltage" if the control voltage is not the same as the line voltage. For starters needing activation from an external switch, terminals can be added to accept the control power input, referred to as "remote start terminals." Key features include 9A 3-phase separate coil voltage, a reset button only, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, and an overload relay rated for 5.7-7.6A, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
