Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters designed for applications up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters include a contactor, an overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, users should verify the full load amperage (FLA) of the motor from its nameplate based on the input voltage and confirm whether the motor operates on single-phase or three-phase power. A starter must be chosen with a current rating that exceeds the FLA of the motor. Optional criteria for selection include the type of incoming power, with options for direct-online starter configurations, separate control voltage setups, or arrangements that incorporate remote start terminals for external activation.
