Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage and confirm whether it is single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of the motor. The control power used to close the contactor must be selected accordingly, and the overload current range should contain the FLA of the motor. Options include incoming power as a direct-online starter, separate control voltage, or remote start terminals for activation from an external switch. This specific unit features a 9A rating, 1 phase, separate control voltage with remote start terminals, a reset button, a 24-60V AC/DC coil, 1.7-2.3A overload, and a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
